In Maldia, all players decide their next moves simultaneously, trying to predict where others might go. Those who gracefully face the currents and sharks, allowing the fog to cover the eyes of other "net managers," increase their own "catch quotas." But large quantities of fish are not enough; only those who safely bring the sought-after types of fish to trade ships at the ever-changing edge of the folding game will keep their sails billowing – and win the game before getting lost in the fog.
