In Touhou Spell Carnival for PS4, Reimu Hakurei takes part in battles for Spell Books while investigating Yukari Yakumo’s motives for organising the Spell Carnival in Gensokyo. The game combines grid-based strategy with real-time combat and bullet-hell dodging.
Positioning characters on the grid, choosing skills based on enemy weaknesses, and selecting the Ace Spellbook shape the team’s strategy. Objects can block enemy bullets and, when destroyed, provide additional effects or bonus loot. As the story progresses, you can track active missions, replay side events, use photo mode, and talk with Touhou Project characters at the Hakurei Shrine.
