The Otamatone is a synthesizer with a body shaped like a note. It requires two hands to play: one hand holds and presses the "head," while the other controls the melody by placing the finger on the stem. The controller is logarithmic, simulating the distance between the notes of a string instrument. Changing the pressure on the head creates a wah-wah effect, while shaking the neck creates a vibrato effect.
