The eight-strand Kairiki 8+ filament is an improved model that has been upgraded from the previous version. The research and development of the filament have been carried out by Shimano's technical team in collaboration with leading Japanese experts. One of the key innovations is the three-layer coating, which uses Toyobo's Izanas SF600 material, offering great water repellency and color resistance.

The silicone coating reduces noise during use, and the 8-strand, 3-layer structure ensures high strength in small diameters. Available in 150 and 300 meters, multicolored, ideal for different techniques from a boat.
