A young witch named Kiki embarks on a journey to become a true witch. What will she discover in the coastal town where she settles? Now that she is 13 years old, it is time for Kiki to think about her future. One night, under the light of the full moon, she takes her black cat, Jiji, climbs onto her mother's broomstick, and departs into the night. The next day, she arrives in a friendly seaside town, and as she tells her faithful friend, there she will spend the next year learning how to become a real witch.
