The photo has nothing to do with reality. The kettle that arrived is made of cheap (iron) with poor quality paint. It does not have a stainless steel (silver) handle like in the photo, nor is it covered with rubber. It is very rough on the handle with protrusions that end up scraping your palm.

The surface is okay for now. Maybe over time it will rust, there are stainless steel handles in others. But for now, it hasn't shown any issues. And it has a nice rubber underneath to prevent the floor from banging.
Edit: It hasn't rusted. But we don't hit it or use it so much that it constantly gets sweaty hands, etc.
