Description

Breaking the chains for the Greek Dream

“I prefer to regret doing something rather than regret not doing something!” [James Hetfield (member of Metallica)]

My entry into politics was a journey full of challenges, upheavals, and substantial personal growth. My path began in a completely different world, that of entrepreneurship and diaspora, where I shaped my identity through my experiences in the United States. There, I learned the value of hard work, strategic thinking, and the courage to claim what you deserve.

When I decided to actively engage in the political arena of Greece, I had a substantial awareness of the situation the country is facing. At every step of this journey, I deeply felt the support and love of my fellow citizens. I am always moved by how much people believe in my vision and share with me their concerns and hopes. This, ultimately, is my greatest reward: to see that I can contribute to the change we all want for our homeland.

My/our journey continues with the Democracy Movement, and I am determined to work hard to bring about the change I believe Greece needs. Because, ultimately, that is what matters: to remain true to your vision and to fight for the common good, regardless of the difficulties.
Stefanos

Read an excerpt

«I do not hide who I am, where I live, how I have earned my wealth, and what I want to do with the support of the world.

I cannot be bribed and I cannot be manipulated by anyone.

I was not the 'American boy' that some hoped to manipulate before throwing out.

I am an immigrant in America and I am an immigrant in Greece.

Perhaps it is time to move beyond labels and see in each other the simplest truth of who we are: uniquely human beings simply trying to pursue happiness.»

Although I am in a completely opposite political space (centre-right), this man always gave me something positive... The book did not disappoint me.
