Myriads of hymns have been woven throughout the ages by the faithful to our Immaculate Mother. Among them is the Theotokarion, which was compiled at the end of the 18th century by Saint Nicodemus the Hagiorite.

From this book, therefore, we have tried to collect, like a small bouquet, many divinely-inspired hymns that refer directly or indirectly to situations and circumstances of human life. Thus, a collection of small prayers to our Blessed Mother was created for every need and problem we face, for our sorrows and joys, while elevating our minds and hearts to the Theotokos' divine person.

We therefore wish that this pious work, which the Immaculate Theotokos has allowed us to handle with our impure hands, may become a perennial flower in the garden of her eternal glory and a bright spiritual weapon of prayer in the battles we face daily against the darkness of this life.
