The Aporta Games strategy board game Saltfjord takes place in a fishing village in northern Norway in the late 19th century. Over three rounds, players choose dice to activate buildings in their settlement and gather resources or take actions. They can expand their settlement, send their fishing boat out, advance technologies, and complete trade orders.
Each die activates the buildings in the corresponding row or column on the player board, while constructing new buildings increases the number of buildings activated. Technology tracks unlock special abilities, such as upgrading the fishing boat, while variable setup options provide different special abilities and end-game scoring tiles.
