Heidi, a little orphan girl, goes to live with her eccentric grandfather in a deserted cabin high up in the mountains.

She will soon come to love her grandfather, the peaks, the goats, the eagles, and Peter, the goat herder.

And when she later goes to the city, to the wealthy house, she will love Clara, the little girl in the wheelchair, but she will not be able to forget the high mountains and the eagle that cried: "Only if you find your own peak, will you be happy."
