The exploration of social policy presents challenges for those who have attempted and continue to attempt it. The multitude of thematic fields, but mainly the scientific disciplines that feed into social policy, create a constantly unstable foundation for building solid and secure theories.
Therefore, a multifaceted study is required to clarify the central concepts that compose the field of social policy and delineate its content. It is also a central need to highlight the ways in which social and economic relationships are formed in contemporary social formations.
This is so that social policy can be approached and analyzed as a parameter of these formations, not extracted as an autonomous field of technocratic analysis, thereby limiting it to the narrow framework of social administration.
