Description

The TP-LINK TL-SG1005P v5 unmanaged switch connects up to 5 devices via Gigabit Ethernet ports, while its 4 PoE ports transmit data and power over the same cable. It automatically detects compatible IEEE 802.3af devices and can extend the network to locations without a power outlet, connecting access points, IP cameras or IP phones. It works without configuration, while 802.1p/DSCP QoS prioritizes delay-sensitive traffic.

When the total power consumption of PoE devices exceeds 56 W, the priority function cuts power to port 4 before ports 1, 2 and 3. The switch has a desktop design and operates without a fan.

  • Type: Layer 2 unmanaged switch
  • Ethernet ports: 5 RJ45 10/100/1000 Mbps ports with auto-negotiation and Auto MDI/MDIX
  • PoE ports: 4, on ports 1 to 4
  • PoE standard: IEEE 802.3af
  • PoE power: Up to 56 W total and up to 15.4 W per port
  • PoE port priority: Ports 1, 2 and 3 take priority over port 4 if the 56 W limit is exceeded
  • Switching capacity: 10 Gbps
  • MAC address table: 2,000 entries, with automatic learning and aging
  • Traffic management: 802.1p/DSCP QoS, IGMP snooping and IEEE 802.3x flow control
  • Switching method: Store-and-forward
  • Power supply: External 48 V DC / 1.25 A adapter
  • Maximum power consumption: 64.44 W
  • Power consumption with no PoE devices connected: 3.95 W
  • Heat dissipation: 13.48 BTU/h with no PoE devices connected and 219.87 BTU/h with a 56 W PoE load
  • Network cables: For 10BASE-T, Category 3, 4 or 5 UTP; for 100BASE-TX, Category 5 or 5e UTP; for 1000BASE-T, Category 5, 5e, 6 or higher UTP; alternatively, 100 Ω EIA/TIA-568 shielded cable. Maximum length is 100 m in all cases
