I don't change phones every now and then. I am interested in buying a phone that does everything decently and lasts as many years as possible. The Huawei nova 5T I had since 2018 broke after a serious fall. During those almost 7 years, I was completely satisfied because the phone had a very powerful processor and memory and never lagged or presented any other issue. So, my choice was justified.
This time, my research led me to choose the Poco X7 Pro, which I hope will last just as long or even longer. For phones, I always try to find devices up to €300 at most that can easily run video editing apps. So, I bought the 12/512GB version, going over budget at €364. The photos and videos it takes are excellent, and naturally, the difference from the old phone is significant. I am also satisfied with the battery, which is quite strong and easily lasts 1.5 days of continuous use! With normal use, which I haven't done yet, I would definitely get 2 days or maybe more.
Regarding the apps I mentioned, I load high-resolution video clips from the camera onto the phone and they don't lag at all. The phone is very fast and, as expected from an Android, easy to use in its menus and settings. Its speakers produce clear and loud sound, and the presence of Dolby Atmos mode, which noticeably improves the sound, is a plus.
Finally, its design is beautiful, sturdy, without being heavy even though it's large in size like most phones nowadays. The screen is also very vibrant in colors and clearly visible in sunlight conditions.
I want to believe that it is a very good purchase and I am waiting for time to confirm it.
