The M13.5 x 9.5 x 5.5 cm bowl filter and aerator filters water in round bowls and small plastic aquariums. It pumps water into the upper tray, where it is filtered, then returns it to the bowl through the outlet. The pump flow rate is adjustable.

A sponge or other water-cleaning media, such as activated carbon, can be placed in the tray; these are sold separately. It fits openings of 14–23 cm without the extension, or 14–43 cm with the separately sold extension. The IPX8 protection rating means the device is protected against immersion at depths greater than 1 m.
