After the breastfeeding session, leave a few drops of milk in each cup and apply them directly to the nipple like a cupping glass. Remove the cups and gently rinse the nipples with water before breastfeeding. Do not use any other nipple treatment in combination with Silverette®: this could reduce or even compromise the effectiveness of the product.

Silverette® may tarnish over time due to the natural oxidation process that occurs in silver, however, it remains safe and effective to use. To remove the tarnish, make a paste using a mixture of baking soda (one teaspoon) with a few drops of water. Rub the paste over the cups, rinse, and dry them.
