It loses its edge relatively easily, especially if you cut hard things (ropes, cables, etc.) but it sharpens very easily without damaging the blade. In terms of quality, the handle is quite good, but not the blade. Excellent product from Stanley, which had accustomed us only to tools.
This particular product feels sturdy and well-balanced in the hand. The two blade opening methods work flawlessly and it is well-sharpened out of the box! The handle is aluminum-coated for durability over time and use.
I do not know the details about the type of steel used for its blade, but I will see in the future its durability and wear during use and how soon it will need sharpening.
However, for its price, it is a decent product.

[EDIT]: Since I saw that the price has dropped significantly, and because I was satisfied with the first one I bought, I decided to purchase a second one as well.
And I will also give a tip for better use and easier blade opening:
As soon as you take the knife out of its packaging, open it halfway and lubricate (or apply a little WD40) to its mechanism. This will facilitate one-handed opening (in both opening methods). If it continues to be too difficult to open after this, then you can slightly loosen the mechanism retention screw (although I did not need to do this after lubricating it).
