I received the cooler on Feb 5th, 2022, after contacting the store for some clarifications because I wanted it for the i5-12600K in a low-profile case that does not allow for a larger cooler height. I waited a few days for a new shipment because previous deliveries did not include the adapter for socket-1700 (if anyone is interested in using it with a socket-1700 processor, they should inquire about it beforehand, although NOCTUA will send you the adapter free of charge if you email them).

Now let's talk about the cooler. I added a second NOCTUA NF-A9 PWM fan in push-pull configuration, but it turned out that it is not necessary (it only lowers the temperature by 1 degree in idle and 5-6 degrees in stress, based on the tests I conducted). The case also has 5 NF-B9 REDUX 1600 PWM fans for intake and 3 NF-P12 REDUX 1700 PWM fans for exhaust. It comes with the factory thermal paste. My setup creates a negative pressure of -0.5 mmH2O at -40 m3/h, taking into account the VGA and PSU fans. So, I won't have any issues with dust.

In terms of temperatures, in idle, the processor is always 3-5 degrees higher than the room temperature, while in stress at 98% - 99%, it never exceeded 61 degrees!!! (these numbers are with both fans on the cooler). In terms of noise, it is silent in idle, and in stress, there is a minimal pleasant "hum" that you have to be less than 1 meter away to hear, and of course, nothing in the room moves!

Conclusion: The cooler is PERFECT!!!

Get it with your eyes closed!!! I estimate (without having tested it) that it will even handle the i7-12700K in stress, maybe with 5-6 degrees higher temperatures. And if in the future, you decide to switch to a different socket (e.g., AM4), keep the included adapters. (And if a new socket is released, NOCTUA will still cover you with a simple email without any charge). And if you go for a case with a side window, for an additional 13 euros, you can get the black chromax version just for more aesthetics.

For me, NOCTUA = GUARANTEE!!!

Quiet, easy to install. In schools, it does not mention that it connects to AM4, but it is mentioned in the instructions. Finally, I put it in an AM3+ FX 8320 and it kept it at low temperatures.
