Persephone is trying to acclimate to a reality that wants her to be queen beside her beloved Hades, but nothing seems easy when you’re dealing with the lord of Darkness.
Misunderstandings, secrets, and problems unravel a ball of truth that Persephone struggles to digest.
Will she find her place in the Underworld or does she ultimately not belong there?

Set against the backdrop of New Athens, a more modern version of the capital, Persephone and Hades return to a world that you will fall in love with sooner or later, especially if you are a fan of Greek Mythology.

Hades is, as always, on fire. A true lord of the Underworld who melts at the feet of the woman he loves. His one-liners are once again unbeatable, yet I feel he still hides secrets and I worry.
    Persephone….
Did Persephone know what she was doing in this book or did our girl get a bit lost? Because my doll, what happened to you? Why do you want to annoy me?
There’s a bit of confusion in the mind of our beloved goddess here. I hope she overcomes it soon.
    Hermes & Apollo
Hermes, of course, continues to bring laughter in this book while there is something very addictive and interesting about Apollo's character that intrigues you throughout the book.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It is a well-structured retelling that has many prospects to elevate it, however, I felt stagnation at points, with the plot getting stuck and my interest fading.
Finally, while there is a steady development in Hades' character, Persephone seems stagnant and confused, which annoyed me at many points and I found it unnecessary.

The only certainty is that this story hides a lot and I look forward to the next one.

I recommend it to lovers of Greek Mythology and to those for whom Hades has always been the favorite villain.
