Mercola 5885 impregnating varnish is a two-component polyurethane varnish intended for wooden surfaces, including boats and areas near the sea. Its formula contains UV filters and HALS to protect against solar radiation and preserve gloss. It forms a transparent film and resists moisture, abrasion, and seawater.
Apply with a brush, roller, or spray gun. New surfaces require at least two coats. Coverage is 80–120 g/m² per coat. It is touch-dry in 1–3 hours, can be recoated after 8 hours, and fully cures in 7–14 days at 23 °C.
