Yes, it is beautiful, yes it has excellent graphics, but it is turn based which for my taste is extremely boring as a game genre.
Neither did its music impress me, it's just ok... as I said, it's a matter of taste.

A poetic game for gaming. It is the absolute 10 out of 10 game and it absolutely deserved to win game of the year for 2025. I played it through game pass and I will probably buy it retail to play it again in a few years.

It truly conveys timely messages, poses dilemmas, and generally keeps you alert. You can't wait to see the next cutscene without getting bored by pointless dialogues. The performances are incredible, the soundtrack is stunning, and the gameplay is delightful as soon as you get the hang of it. I admit that in the first 5 hours I struggled a bit with the abilities, skills, and the unique combat style.

But when you give it time and understand a bit how it works, then you don't want to let it go.

Don't let that discourage you, it's not something in the style of Souls. And it also has difficulty options. Another thing that stands out is its music. It is very fitting and amazing. I liked the world, the era, let's say, which is a mix of fantasy and reality, France, Belle Époque.
A negative is the absence of manual save, but the game saves very often, e.g., you change a skill and it saves, but there is also a fixed save point, though it's not the usual manual. It also keeps about 9 saves so you can go back to previous ones in the same game. I hope this fresh effort is rewarded with GOTY, especially since in the era of 80 euro games, it costs 50.

The best "western JRPG" I have ever played. It had been years (maybe since I was a child) since I felt such intense emotions with a game. Well-written, with rich characters and a very interesting world, beautiful, amazing turn-based combat with wonderful effects and animations and so, so many options for builds. You can literally kill a boss in 1 hit if you build your team properly. The soundtrack is one of the best ever written for any medium. Even how this game was made is interesting.

Easily game of the year. Story. Gameplay. Soundtrack. Characters. Graphics. Everything is top-notch. If turn-based RPGs have a "problem" it's simply that you have to endure the opponent's turn. Well, not here. Not only do you not have to endure anything if you're good enough, but the counterattacks you can perform are the best and most satisfying part of the game. Buy with your eyes closed. I honestly feel sorry for anyone for whom this is their first game because after this, good luck finding something similar.

Honestly, it is an experience to play this game, I recently finished it and I simply have no words. I could write an entire 1000-word essay to say how amazing this game is. The graphics are as if they came out of a movie, *I* have no words for the Soundtrack, it is truly incredible. The story of the game... is enough for a Novel.

Even the characters are Perfect. Gustave, Maelle, Verso, Lune... All of them are made for the role they offer! I chose Maelle's ending (A life to Paint) and I believe this is the Canon Ending of the game. I don't know if I will go for the Platinum, it seems like a lot of Grind...
