• Voltage (V) & Current Type (DC/AC): The output voltage of the transformer must be exactly the same as the operating voltage of the light (e.g., 12V DC with 12V DC).
• Power (W): The rated power of the transformer must be greater than the total power of all the lights (with a 20% margin), e.g. for 80W lights, a transformer with a rated power of 100W or more is required.
• IP Rating: The transformer's IP rating can be different from the IP rating of the lights. However, the transformer must have an appropriate IP rating for the location where it will be used (e.g. IP20 for indoors, IP65 for outdoors).
• Connection Type: The plug or terminals of the transformer must match the connection of the light for easy installation.
