The thread adapter FACOM U.53H1 is a repair tool used for restoring damaged, rusty, or seized external threads, such as bolts or posts. It operates on the reverse cutting principle: when turned counterclockwise, its hard, self-centering cutting edges engage the material, cutting a new thread while simultaneously unscrewing the damaged component.

Made from high-strength tool steel, it features a design that ensures stability and resistance to high torques. Its tapered shape facilitates initial alignment and centering. It is intended for use with a manual wrench or a suitable-sized power tool, on standard steels and alloys that are not hardened.

For optimal performance and long-term use, it is recommended to use an appropriate cutting fluid during operation. After use, it should be cleaned of chips and oiled for rust protection.
