Description

The work is primarily based on shocking personal experiences spanning fourteen years in countries mainly of Sub-Saharan Africa, which are among the poorest on the continent. The description of these experiences is accompanied by impressive personal photographs that depict realistic images of the unprecedented archaic reality in which African populations, particularly in rural areas and not only there, live.

This allows one to visually realize the destitution that predominantly exists in settlements –not villages– of the Stone Age, without roads and with haphazardly erected mud-brick huts. The same goes for the buildings of the primary schools established with poles and reeds to overcome the absolute void of education. Significant related photographs have been incorporated into the published work.

Personal experiences are mainly exposed in the first part of the work. In the following two parts, on one hand, the anthropological, worldview, and religious perceptions of Africans are described along with the newer Christian and Islamic mixtures; on the other hand, a critical spirit analyzes the ongoing provocative neo-colonial acts and the overall exploitation and draining of Africa, which protests “silently”.
