I run 2 times a week for 4-5km at a slow pace with some sprints at the end. I am 1.97m and 97kg. The shoes have excellent cushioning. Indeed, at first you need to be a bit careful because of the high sole, but this applies to all similar shoes. What impressed me more is that when I pick up the pace, they follow my stride excellently and I feel like they guide me to a smoother step, as if they improve my technique. Of course, I haven't tried shoes of the same level from other brands. They are also beautiful.

Since 2006 I have been choosing Salomon,
back then we started with the company's first trail shoes.
Since then, every year I buy 3 pairs because of my activities in the mountains.
For some years now, I have also started with the company's road running shoes.
This particular one is perhaps the best they've made for asphalt, it eats up the kilometers with ease.
Just at first, you need to be a bit careful because the height of the sole combined with such a soft foam might cause your foot (ankle) to roll left or right.
After a few kilometers, it settles in and you start to enjoy it.
Plus, it's comfortable, light, and perfect for standing for long periods.

excellent shoe! better than novaboost5, hoka, brooks.... very absorbent even on asphalt, very good for those who land heavily on their heel, super lightweight, very durable even after 1 year it keeps its shape and sole... for its price I think it has no rival. true to size, a bit long in shape at the toes, box neither wide nor narrow

No athletic shoe has ever hurt me before, but this one did (on the little toe of my right foot). There is no obvious defect, it's probably because it has a narrow fit and is relatively stiff. Additionally, the sole is so elastic that you feel like you're walking on springs. I suppose some people might like that, but I don't. Update 25/05/2026: I gave them a second chance, loosened the laces and now the problem is much less.

The shoes are fantastic and in terms of comfort they are satisfactory. I had a pair of Asics before (same type of shoe) a bit more expensive than these and they didn't last even 3 months. So far, wearing them daily, they haven't suffered any damage; if they were also waterproof, that would be asking too much at this price.

My personal opinion is that you can't wear another pair of shoes once you get used to these, especially if you try a narrower shoe. This is the 3rd pair of Salomon I buy and I can comfortably say that it deserves all 5 stars!!

Otherwise i find them great for daily walking

I have done 250km with these, I run short runs 5-10km. Amazing shock absorption but also stable footing. I would say somewhere in between Brooks and Hoka. Fast response and very durable. For me, they are value for money since the prices of the top brands have gone crazy

A bit inferior to the #2, the heel is loose, in the #2 the foot was immobile, the shoe has a loose fit and needs to be tied well before training. They have also changed the layout of the outsole, copying the grooves from the Nimbus Lite 3. The sole is unstable and does not have good grip, especially for heel strike runners. Strictly a road shoe, it does not hold at all on uneven terrain. Otherwise, same size as Adidas and NB, good quality upper material with a thick tongue, same sole material as the Glide series, decent bounce. We are dealing with an all-around big stack soft shoe for easy training and up to 10k. If the Glide 2 has worked for you, don’t change it, it is much better

I haven't worn a better shoe! Superior to boost and excellent construction! You feel like you're walking on foam and you don't want to take it off! I recommend it without a second thought, if it were Asics it would cost €200!
