A poor young man, after losing all his wealth, receives an unexpected gift: a magical chest that can fly! He climbs inside and flies to distant lands. He arrives in a faraway country, where he meets a beautiful princess, who is kept locked away in the palace by her father.

The young man secretly meets her thanks to the flying chest, and the two fall in love.
