It is a very nice chocolate for its standards, always compared to the other Dubai chocolates available. As for the price: obviously it is higher, however, before someone rushes to point the finger at the company, they should look into how much the cost of cocoa has increased and the corresponding impact this has on production costs, something that ultimately gets passed on like a "domino effect" to the final price you pay at supermarkets. ION remains a 100% Greek company and NO, it will not increase its prices without reason or cause for the "profiteering" that some people claim. This so-called "profiteering" is what provides jobs to over 1,000 employees of the company, maintaining the quality of the chocolate and its price at the best possible levels given the volatility of prices and the generally adverse market conditions (inflation, supply chain difficulties, increased production costs, but mainly monstrous increases in the price of raw materials).

The chocolate is nice, you can tell it has peanuts inside, it's fine and I have my own peanut trees and I know peanuts very well. Now, how the regular Dubai is, I don't know and I don't care either. This is a nice chocolate with peanut flavor! Why are you making such a fuss...

It goes without saying that it isn't worth its price of €2.5, and that would be too much. But generally, everything I've eaten from Dubay so far has been terrible, and I wonder why there's so much fuss. The kataifi, in any case, should be eaten with syrup and not dry-roasted with pralines

It's not something wow. And the cost is not justified by what it offers. The simple one with the peanut is at €2. The good thing is that it's not overly sweet and doesn't feel greasy.

The taste is not that bad, but it doesn't remind me of Dubai chocolate at all. The price of 5 euros at the supermarket is simply unacceptable. I expected much more from a brand that makes such nice chocolates

I was reading the comments and I wasn't going to buy it. They put it on sale for about 3€, and I tried it today. I have eaten other Dubai, and this one didn't seem worse or better to me. You can taste the peanut, even though many comments said it is tasteless. The Aegina peanut by itself doesn't have a strong flavor, so it's logical that it wouldn't be strong inside chocolate that has additional sugar. There's a lot of hype about the Dubai... it's just a nice chocolate.

As some have mentioned below, it is done for profiteering. Ion has generally raised the prices of all its products, like some other companies. It's a shame, but the world is to blame for buying them. Just like back then with Prime, now when something becomes a trend, they look to take your money. Then the price drops, but everything is fine as if nothing is happening. It is not worth the money in any case. Also, having tried many chocolates, it didn't impress me at all in terms of taste. The regular Break chocolates, on the other hand, are nice chocolates. 1 star regardless because it offered me nothing. Also, as a product, the nuts cover the taste of the chocolate, so you don't really taste it, and the kataifi, which is supposed to have something special, does not. It has nothing superior compared to other chocolates to be worth double. Just my opinion.

I don't understand why people give it 1 star (probably due to the price). Initially, it has whole pieces of pistachio, not just simple praline, which are visible when you cut it. I might have liked it more with dark chocolate because it is sweet with the regular one.

It is the lightest Dubai chocolate I have tried. You can taste the peanut, the cream, and it is not stuffed with kataifi. The coating is the favorite ION and in the filling, you can taste the shelled peanut, as you can see it too! Finally, it doesn't remind you at all of other Dubai chocolates that sit heavy in your stomach.

The price is normal if we take into account 1. the expensive ingredients, 2. more preparations-techniques than a simple chocolate which means more preparation time, more labor, and higher energy costs.

The comparison with Dubai chocolates that sit heavy in your stomach, filled with cheap kataifi, artificial colors, and peanut flavor is at least ridiculous.

Perhaps the worst chocolate I have ever tried in my life. We tried it with 5 people and honestly wondered which person from the company ate this thing and said yes, let's put it on the market. I am referring purely to the taste aspect, not the economic one. The chocolate is a disgrace, it is inedible!! And having me pay 5 (!!!) euros makes it twice as bad. I have eaten 20 different types of Turkish delight, from Lidl to handmade confectionery, this specific JOKE from ION surpasses every limit of audacity. Withdraw it.

This particular chocolate is puzzling how it passed inspections and sampling and got the green light to be released. Honestly, a company like ION has only managed to undermine its name in the market with this release.

Regarding the chocolate. The filling, as seen in the photo, has nothing to do with the cover. Not even close. If one looks at the ingredients, they will see that it contains 15% pistachio and 5.5% kataifi, which is minimal compared to others that I hear it being compared to, but in general, it's a bit low. The problem, however, is that due to the milk chocolate it contains, you honestly barely taste any other flavor (a bit of the Aegina pistachio) and some crunchiness. The worst part comes with its price. This would be bad if it were at the same price as the others, around €2. At €4.5+, however, it is among the most wasted money...

Loses one star because I wanted more filling inside.
It's not as green as it looks in the photo outside, and that's good because no paste made from 100% pistachio is that green.
It has very nice chocolate on the outside, and its filling is crunchy with an aftertaste of Aegina pistachio.
It's worth it as chocolate, but the price should drop a bit.

I have never tried Dubai chocolate like many from what I see in the comments, and maybe the "original" won't even appeal to me when I eventually try it someday. This particular one, however, I personally liked quite a bit! The flavor was pure from the pistachio (with whole pieces) and the kataifi in a way. It was something different (I have always liked breaks). However, I do not agree at all with its price! Unacceptably expensive!! That's why it's 3/5. Other than that, it was a pleasant tasting experience

Compared to the other Dubai I have tried, this one is the sweetest. It definitely has less pistachio than other Dubai, but it is delicious chocolate. It is a bit overpriced for its price due to the trend, but overall I really liked the balance of chocolate and pistachio and I would buy it again!

Unfortunately, disappointment on all levels. A simple milk chocolate. The filling is minimal, and dried out with no flavor and no moisture (some syrup). It feels like eating something dried and tasteless. Let's not talk about the price. Quite shameful. Very expensive, not worth it.

First time trying Dubai chocolate so I can't compare it with others. I taste a rather sweet milk chocolate with a slightly crunchy texture. I didn't notice any pistachio flavor. I got it from a kiosk along with newspapers and didn't see the price. I assumed it was around €2. When I later saw it was €5 I was shocked, I would never pay that much. From now on, I'll check prices first and then buy, I won't get fooled again.

Update 09/2025: I happened to try genuine chocolate from Dubai where 200g cost €40! Honestly, the kadaifi inside was like eating straw mixed with chocolate. After that, the equivalent from ION seems like a dream to me...

Ion, if you are reading this, bring back the break chocolate bar. It wasn't something amazing for someone to make it a staple. I appreciate the whole pieces of peanut you thought to include, I liked this originality.

I bought the product and I still regret the 4.63€ I spent to eat this which was really disappointing. Anyway, it's a shame that there are these prices in the market for a chocolate. What a pity!

  • It is a very nice chocolate for its standards, always compared to the other Dubai chocolates available.

  • The chocolate is nice, you can tell it has peanuts inside, it's fine and I have my own peanut trees and I know peanuts very well. Now, how the regular Dubai is, I don't know and I don't care either. This is a nice chocolate with peanut flavor! Why are you making such a fuss...

  • It goes without saying that it isn't worth its price of €2.5, and that would be too much. But generally, everything I've eaten from Dubay so far has been terrible, and I wonder why there's so much fuss. The kataifi, in any case, should be eaten with syrup and not dry-roasted with pralines

  • It's not something wow. And the cost is not justified by what it offers. The simple one with the peanut is at €2. The good thing is that it's not overly sweet and doesn't feel greasy.

  • The taste is not that bad, but it doesn't remind me of Dubai chocolate at all. The price of 5 euros at the supermarket is simply unacceptable. I expected much more from a brand that makes such nice chocolates
