I bought it today for 679 euros. I had the Hyundai 622 Pro 3hp, and the Jonsered Gr41 2hp. The Hyundai was very powerful, but you weren't sure if you'd finish your work. (I changed 2 cylinder pistons in one season, 1 clutch, the recoil starter, and with makeshift fixes the tank and more were held together.) So I decided to go for something reliable and branded... I made the fuel mix - 20 ml ls husqvarna oil / 1 lt gasoline. I started with the 'break-in', running it at idle for 30 minutes, with a light throttle at the start. Immediately after, for almost 3.5 straight hours, I was cutting low vegetation for the first half hour, and the remaining 3 hours on tall grass with thorns and wild mallows... (Of course, with medium throttle)... I used 3.3 vortex orange twisted trimmer line... With the stock head, unfortunately in the first 40 minutes, there was no good cooperation between the head and the efco... the head was very tall and heavy, it seemed they were NOT synchronized. (I felt it, I saw it and got disappointed). I immediately switched to the flash cutter head, with twisted vortex 3.3 line, and the machine was now working in perfect harmony... it was cutting almost everything very comfortably, always with medium throttle... impressively easy... I imagine when it breaks in well (the manual says it needs 5-8 hours of operation to break in) its power will show... I was positively impressed that it burned about 1.5 liters of fuel with so much dense, tall grass. The harness it has, if you adjust it correctly, you really don't feel the relatively heavy efco... The build quality seems very good... I was impressed that it barely got warm at all!!! These are my first impressions... I will return with more information!
    * May 2, 2026 ... The brushcutter is amazing... I now have professional experience using the efco DS 5400 t ... I throttle up and go.. It doesn't even feel it... permanently put the flash cutter head, 3mm twisted vortex or Kaiser line, and the brushcutter takes off... it cuts everything easily and quickly... and very economical on fuel... from experience, I do not recommend 4+ mm lines on the efco... not because it can't handle them, but simply because it doesn't need them... up to 3.5 mm line and it will fly and cut everything like butter... it is a notch stronger, sturdier, and more economical than the echo/shindawa 3hp... I have changed the fuel mix oil and now the husqvarna xp (25 ml /1 liter gasoline) I used for 9 months, I replaced with amsoil saber synthetic, now at a ratio of 20 ml per 1 liter gasoline... I don't know much about oils, but I believe the amsoil saber synthetic matched better with the efco (now it doesn't oil and blacken the spark plug, as with the husqvarna xp oil - for the first two months of using the brushcutter I put 20 ml oil per 1 liter gasoline (due to the heat I raised the oil to 25 ml/1 liter gasoline)... I bought 3 sponges for the air filter, so I can change them when there's a lot of dust where I cut grass, and of course I tap the paper filter to remove most of the dust, and then blow it with a blower from a distance of 30+ cm... just like I blow the beehives to remove dust... I check the grease every time I work on a new plot/field (when it's hot, and grass wraps around the head, it's good to check the grease, because the head heats up and the grease becomes like water, so refill the grease, and let the head cool a bit)...
