The adapter for Minolta MD lenses to Pentax Q mirrorless cameras allows the attachment of a Minolta MD lens to a Q series camera body from Pentax. Adapting a larger lens to a smaller sensor offers optical and practical advantages. The smaller image field helps reduce distortion and lens aberration effects by utilizing the center or the "sweet spot" of the larger lens's image circle, thus providing edge-to-edge clarity.

Although the lens will fit physically, automatic apertures, autofocus, or other electronic functions will not operate correctly with this adapter.
