Lens hoods protect the lenses from impacts and from creating flares from light sources that may affect your image.

The hood is detachable from the support ring and is reversible for storage, keeping filters and caps in place regardless of the direction of the hood. This allows you to use the original lens cap or the larger lens cap included in the set, as well as to keep protective filters in place, regardless of the direction of the hood.

Lens hoods are primarily designed to prevent unwanted light from entering the lens, extending and shading the edge of the lens. Additionally, because the edge of the lens is extended, it offers added protection from accidental impacts. This lens hood maximizes the coverage of the hood with minimal weight and space thanks to its flower-like shape.
