The Salomon Aerotrek 40 is a lightweight 40-liter hiking backpack, ideal for Camino hikes, day trips, or multi-day excursions. It features an Advanced airChassis ventilated back system, ergonomic shoulder straps, and a hip belt for comfortable gear carrying. It offers multiple storage options, including a separate sleeping bag compartment, external stretch pockets, and dedicated attachment points for trekking poles, a helmet, and an ice axe.

Ergonomics & Advanced airChassis Back System

The Salomon Aerotrek 40 backpack features the advanced Advanced airChassis back system, which combines padding at the top and lumbar area with extensive ventilation throughout the rest of the back panel. With a back length of 49 cm in size S/M, it provides stability and comfort during long hikes.

Comfortable Shoulder Straps & Integrated Hydration

The shoulder straps feature lightweight padding and special perforations for heat management, complemented by upper load lifters and an adjustable sternum strap. They also include 2 dedicated pockets for Salomon 0.5L soft flasks, while the backpack is also compatible with a 2L hydration system.

Practical Hip Belt & External Storage

The padded hip belt helps distribute the 1,118-gram load evenly and features a zippered pocket on the right side. For quick access to essentials, the backpack has an external pocket in the top lid, an elastic front pocket, and elastic side pockets.

Specialized Pockets & Attachment Points

Inside the main 40-liter compartment, there is a dedicated sleeping bag compartment with a removable divider and a separate zipper. In addition, the external compression straps on the sides and bottom allow you to attach a sleeping mat, while dedicated loops are provided for an ice axe, helmet and poles.
