Polyester ropes are knitted from continuous filament polyester yarns. They have high resistance to abrasion, UV rays, heat, and common chemicals. Due to their polyester composition, they do not have significant elasticity and are therefore considered ideal for applications where light stretching is required but good handling properties are needed.

They are very popular in boating and sailing for tying and mooring small boats, as well as in fishing, where elasticity is not particularly desired. They are also used for household and agricultural tasks, in camping, and in the industry.
