The activation and remote control are performed via a low-profile VC-818TX transmitter unit, with a backlit LCD display. Initially, versions for Canon and Nikon will be available.

The 2.4GHz transmitter provides AF assist light and a range of approximately 100 meters. It supports 3 groups A / B / C and 4 channels. The TTL and Remote Manual groups can be mixed with each other and turned off separately.
