Philology student Jenny Skoutari, daughter of the local party leader Kosmas Skoutaris, frequently uses the personal library of shipowner Milto Kassandris. However, he is preparing a political career for his nephew Niko Mantas and wants to promote him as a candidate for the upcoming elections. Mantas is a childhood friend of Jenny Skoutari and has been studying abroad. There is a fear of losing to the rival candidate Gortsos, who is supported by Skoutaris, but he faces financial problems. Kassandris decides to force Jenny to marry his nephew in a sham marriage. Furthermore, he aims to financially support her father to ensure Mantas's election. But this sham marriage will bring love between the couple. The film was shot in Spetses.
