The game, guys, doesn't have an exciting story — nor does it try to focus on that. It gives you a simple framework for what's going on and from there you move on, clearing out enemies.
Its world is not open world. On the contrary, it has chapters that work like levels, full of NPC enemies that you mow down in the addictive, over-the-top American way you see in the trailers.
The game is more for fun — what really keeps you going is the feeling of satisfaction, the pure thrill of feeling like the ultimate boss while epic, heavy rock music pumps you up as you go.
There are also some variations, with different levels where you get into giant robots, fly, even ride dragons — which is a fair touch so it doesn't get repetitive.
I've played about half the game — I haven't finished it yet, but so far I'm having a great time.
For 80 euros, guys, it's not worth it, at 50 and below, yes, absolutely!

I bought it yesterday at the outrageous price of 80 euros. Okay, it was highly anticipated for fans of the genre, but of course, it's not Elden Ring to cost that much. So, on the positive side, the game is much easier compared to its predecessors Doom/Doom Eternal because you have the shield that protects you from shots, and you don't have to run around like crazy (as before) to avoid enemies, and it also works as a weapon (like Captain America before). The negatives, during the gameplay, there is no music or only occasionally, and also the whole setting is boring/monotonous (nothing like the magical Doom Eternal). It reminds me of the old MAXIMO (PS2) for those who remember. The graphics are certainly amazing, but for anyone considering it, it's better not to buy it and wait, for example, until New Year's when it will drop to 39.99 euros because there's nothing to lose. On the contrary, those lucky enough to have XBOX Game Pass have it for free from day 1.
To aγορασα χθες στην εξωφρενικη τιμη των 80 ευρω. Ενταξει ηταν πολυαναμενομενο για τους λατρεις του ειδους αλλα φυσικα δεν ειναι Elden Ring για να κοστιζει τοσα χρηματα. Λοιπον στα θετικα, το παιχνιδι ειναι πολυ ευκολο σε σχεση με τους προκατοχους του Doom/Doom Eternal διοτι εχεις την ασπιδα που σε προστατευει απο τις βολες και δεν χρειαζεται να τρεχεις σαν το κατσικι (οπως παλια) για να αποφυγεις τους εχθρους και λειτουργει και σαν οπλο (οπως παλια με τον Captain America). Τα αρνητικα, κατα την διαρκεια του gameplay δεν εχει μουσικη ή εχει κατα διαστηματα και μονο επισης το ολο σκηνικο εναι βαρετο/μονοτονο (καμια σχεση με το μαγικο Doom Eternal) μου θυμιζει για τους παλιους οσοι θυμουνται το MAXIMO (PS2). Τα γραφικα σιγουρα ειναι φοβερα, αλλα για οποιον το σκεφτεται καλυτερα να μην το αγορασει και να περιμενει πχ την Πρωτοχρονια που θα πεσει στα 39.99 ευρω διοτι δεν εχει να χασει και τιποτα. Αντιθετα οι τυχεροι που εχουν XBOX Game Pass το εχουν δωρεαν απο day 1.

Τα αρνητικα, κατα την διαρκεια του gameplay δεν εχει μουσικη ή εχει κατα διαστηματα και μονο επισης το ολο σκηνικο εναι βαρετο/μονοτονο (καμια σχεση με το μαγικο Doom Eternal) μου θυμιζει για τους παλιους οσοι θυμουνται το MAXIMO (PS2). Τα γραφικα σιγουρα ειναι φοβερα, αλλα για οποιον το σκεφτεται καλυτερα να μην το αγορασει και να περιμενει πχ την Πρωτοχρονια που θα πεσει στα 39.99 ευρω διοτι δεν εχει να χασει και τιποτα. Αντιθετα οι τυχεροι που εχουν XBOX Game Pass το εχουν δωρεαν απο day 1.
If you're looking for genuine orthodox doom, you're in the right place. Adrenaline and slaying demons while listening to metal. The rest can play Animal Crossing.
P.S. It has RPG elements and a story with memorable characters, but the strong point is the gameplay. The main campaign lasts about 25 hours, but for those who know doom, its longevity comes from new game plus on the higher difficulty levels.
Αν ψάχνεις γνήσιο ορθόδοξο doom είσαι εδώ. Αδρεναλίνη και να σφάζεις δαίμονες ακούγοντας μεταλιες. Οι υπόλοιποι μπορούν να παίξουν animal crossing.
ΥΓ έχει στοιχεία rpg έχει και ένα σενάριο με χαρακτήρες που σου μενουν αλλά το δυνατό σημείο είναι το gameplay, το main campaign είναι κάπου στο 25ωρο αλλά για όσους γνωρίζουν από doom η αντοχή στο χρόνο πηγάζει από τα new game plus στους υψηλότερους βαθμούς δυσκολίας.
As a game, I personally liked it, I mean it definitely makes you feel like a slayer, with many and different weapons, but again unfortunately there aren't many monster variations, I got the premium just for the collection

Before I express my opinion, let me point out that I have never played another game from the Doom series. Also, I didn't buy it — I got it through Xbox Game Pass and I'm playing it on PC. So, as far as performance goes, I can't tell you anything specific.
So:
The game, guys, doesn't have an exciting story — nor does it try to focus on that. It gives you a simple framework for what's going on and from there you move on, clearing out enemies.
Its world is not open world. On the contrary, it has chapters that work like levels, full of NPC enemies that you mow down in the addictive, over-the-top American way you see in the trailers.
The game is more for fun — what really keeps you going is the feeling of satisfaction, the pure thrill of feeling like the ultimate boss while epic, heavy rock music pumps you up as you go.
There are also some variations, with different levels where you get into giant robots, fly, even ride dragons — which is a fair touch so it doesn't get repetitive.
I've played about half the game — I haven't finished it yet, but so far I'm having a great time.
For 80 euros, guys, it's not worth it, at 50 and below, yes, absolutely!
Πριν εκφράσω την άποψή μου, να επισημάνω ότι δεν έχω ξαναπαίξει άλλο παιχνίδι από τη σειρά Doom. Επίσης, δεν το αγόρασα — το "τσίμπησα" μέσω Xbox Game Pass και το παίζω σε PC. Οπότε, όσον αφορά την απόδοση (performance), δεν μπορώ να σας πω κάτι συγκεκριμένο.
Λοιπόν:
Το παιχνίδι, παιδιά, δεν έχει κάποιο συναρπαστικό story — και ούτε προσπαθεί να εστιάσει σε αυτό. Σου δίνει ένα απλό πλαίσιο για το τι γίνεται και από 'κει και πέρα προχωράς, καθαρίζοντας εχθρούς.
Ο κόσμος του δεν είναι open world. Αντίθετα, έχει chapters που λειτουργούν σαν επίπεδα (levels), γεμάτα με NPC enemies που τους θερίζεις με τον εθιστικό, υπερβολικά αμερικανικό τρόπο που φαίνεται και στα trailers.
Το παιχνίδι είναι περισσότερο για χαβαλέ — αυτό που πραγματικά σε κρατάει είναι το αίσθημα του satisfaction, η καθαρή κάβλα του να νιώθεις το απόλυτο boss ενώ σε συνοδεύει επική, βαριά ροκ μουσική που σε ανεβάζει όσο χώνεις.
Έχει και κάποιες εναλλαγές, με διαφορετικά levels όπου μπαίνεις σε γιγάντια ρομπότ, πετάς, ακόμα και καβαλάς δράκους — που είναι τίμια πινελιά για να μη γίνει επαναλαμβανόμενο.
Έχω παίξει περίπου το μισό παιχνίδι — δεν το έχω ολοκληρώσει ακόμα, αλλά προς το παρόν περνάω πολύ ωραία.

I finished it and I had a lot of fun... is it good? yes, very.. is it better than ETERNAL? for me, no.. although different, I enjoyed eternal more.. if the price drops below 50 it will be worth buying
update...after the 1.007 update it has improved a lot
το τερμάτισα και μου διασκέδασα πολύ...ειναι καλο;ναι πολυ.. καλύτερο απο το ETERNAL ;για μενα οχι ..αν και διαφορετικό το eternal το διασκέδασα περισσότερο..εαν η τιμη πεσει κατω απο 50 θα αξιζει η αγοράu

I bought it yesterday at the outrageous price of 80 euros. Okay, it was highly anticipated for fans of the genre, but of course, it's not Elden Ring to cost that much. So, on the positive side, the game is much easier compared to its predecessors Doom/Doom Eternal because you have the shield that protects you from shots, and you don't have to run around like crazy (as before) to avoid enemies, and it also works as a weapon (like Captain America before). The negatives, during the gameplay, there is no music or only occasionally, and also the whole setting is boring/monotonous (nothing like the magical Doom Eternal). It reminds me of the old MAXIMO (PS2) for those who remember. The graphics are certainly amazing, but for anyone considering it, it's better not to buy it and wait, for example, until New Year's when it will drop to 39.99 euros because there's nothing to lose. On the contrary, those lucky enough to have XBOX Game Pass have it for free from day 1.
To aγορασα χθες στην εξωφρενικη τιμη των 80 ευρω. Ενταξει ηταν πολυαναμενομενο για τους λατρεις του ειδους αλλα φυσικα δεν ειναι Elden Ring για να κοστιζει τοσα χρηματα. Λοιπον στα θετικα, το παιχνιδι ειναι πολυ ευκολο σε σχεση με τους προκατοχους του Doom/Doom Eternal διοτι εχεις την ασπιδα που σε προστατευει απο τις βολες και δεν χρειαζεται να τρεχεις σαν το κατσικι (οπως παλια) για να αποφυγεις τους εχθρους και λειτουργει και σαν οπλο (οπως παλια με τον Captain America).
