The Ramps 1.5 Controller expansion board is designed for Reprap 3D printers and is an upgraded version of the RAMPS1.4. It has slots for 5 Pololu stepper motor drivers, which can be replaced or removed, and supports connecting two motors to the Z-axis on Prusa Mendel printers. It can be expanded with an LCD screen and other components.
The board includes MOSFET outputs for a heater and fan, three thermistor connectors, and fuses to protect components, as well as additional 11 A fuses for controlling a heated bed. I2C and SPI pins are available for future expansions. The gold-plated servo connectors are rated for 3 A and are used to connect endstops, motors, and LEDs. The LED lights up when the heater output is active.
