Virtual Reality

Virtual reality offers some of the most immersive experiences on a gaming PC. But getting the right VR is challenging. With actual screen resolutions at 4K and increasing, minimum refresh rates of 90 Hz, and high latency tolerances, VR is one of the most demanding PC applications in the world and requires the most powerful GPUs in the world.

NVIDIA's GeForce RTX GPUs give you the performance you need to power top titles on the latest VR units. Additionally, they feature technology to crank up the settings for truly impressive, immersive gameplay.

2.5-slot Design

The Prime GeForce RTX 5080 features a 2.5-slot design with a carefully crafted layout for the shroud, heatsink, and heat pipes, allowing the three Axial-tech fans to leverage side panel ventilation and provide optimal thermal performance.

Axial-tech Upgrades

The three proven Axial-tech fans feature a smaller hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring to increase downward air pressure for lower temperatures, less noise, and higher performance.

Dual Ball Bearing Fan

The various types of bearings have unique advantages and disadvantages. Double ball bearings excel in durability and can last up to twice as long as sleeve bearings.

Steam Chamber

A vapor chamber and a heatsink absorb heat from the graphics card, helping to ensure top performance in various scenarios.

Ventilated Backplate

The large air vents on the backplate significantly enhance heat dissipation, helping to keep the GPU cooler during intensive tasks. This additional airflow contributes to ensuring optimal temperatures, boosting performance, longevity, and stability, protecting against overheating and thermal throttling.

Dual BIOS

Do you prioritize low core temps or low noise levels? Performance mode allows the fans to spin more to keep the card running cool all the time, while quiet mode maintains the same power target and top-end settings, offering a less aggressive fan curve for quieter operation at moderate temperatures.

Auto−Extreme Technology

ASUS Auto-Extreme technology is an automated manufacturing process that sets new standards in the industry, allowing all soldering tasks to be completed in a single pass, which reduces thermal stress on components and avoids the use of harsh cleaning chemicals, resulting in less environmental impact, lower energy consumption during manufacturing, and overall a more reliable product.

GPU Tweak III

GPU Tweak III now features a revamped interface that puts essential functions at the forefront, while the VF Tuner has been upgraded to make manual overclocking much easier. Meanwhile, exclusive features like 0dB fan technology are now enhanced by automatic profile switching and monitoring session logging. Additionally, you can now monitor more system statistics with the add-on and customize GT3 with the interface background and color options.

It is very good.. Excellent especially in games. Of course, I use it in DaVinci Resolve 99% of the time.. So, the thing is that it needs some initial setup through the software and in Windows to perform at its best.. Of course, when you add a lot of AI NR and some depth map, that's when it starts to struggle.. The files I mainly work with are H.265 10bit from the Z8.. I don't know, maybe I've done something wrong but I had the impression that it wouldn't lag so much even with heavy filters like NR, AI.. Overall, it is a serious card and it is worth having for any editor
