The sound diffuser OCEANOS-SA consists of the basic unit of the simple OCEANOS and an additional sound-absorbing polyester fiber panel on its back side, for greater sound absorption at low frequencies.

The OCEANOS is a modern innovative two-dimensional acoustic diffuser.

Its refined surfaces resemble the wavy surface of a calm ocean.

The design of this new sound diffuser was carried out in collaboration with a European team of engineers and scientists, using QRD array calculations combined with algorithmic shape processing software. At the same time, using the simulation of reflected sound rays and advanced sound diffusion prediction software, the uniform diffusion and refraction of sound on its surface was optimized.

The OCEANOS is made from thermoformed polymer, specifically Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS).

It presents a distinct fresh appearance in the field of acoustics offering homogeneous sound distribution.

It is particularly effective in small spaces.

This sound diffuser, due to its construction which resembles an acoustically vibrating membrane, can absorb low-frequency sound energy.

If, however, this acoustic property is not desired, you can internally coat the sound diffuser with artistic plaster to achieve greater rigidity and weight and prevent it from diffusing sound without any sound absorption.
