The Master's Program in "Special Education" of the Department of Education and Social Care for Preschool Age at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens continues its publishing activity with the release of the 11th edition of a collective volume titled "Research in Special Education, Inclusive Education, and Disability."
This publishing activity arises from the necessity to publicize research related to issues of special education, disability, and inclusive education, with the participation and contribution of the faculty and alumni of the program.
The eleventh volume is developed across five thematic sections related to the subject matter of the master's program.
The first section explores the factors shaping the identity of families with members who have disabilities. The second section examines quality of life issues for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The third section addresses issues of inclusive education, while the fourth sheds light on educational and social integration topics for refugees with and without disabilities. Finally, the fifth section investigates representations and meanings of disability.
This publishing effort aims to contribute to the development of a public research dialogue in the field of special education, disability studies, and inclusive education.
