Spotlight is a cooperative hidden object game where you and your friends search with your trusty flashlight for quirky characters and objects hidden in dark locations filled with surreal things. Your goal is to find as many as possible to advance your pawns on the track and cross the finish line, without any player being caught by the Moon pawn that chases you. The game is played over five rounds. Each player has a different board consisting of a transparent layer on top, depicting a different part of the game scene, and a black cardboard base underneath, making everything dark and difficult to see. At the beginning of each round, the hidden image to be searched is determined by looking at the card on top of the deck. When everyone is ready, players begin searching for the hidden image on their board using their "magic" flashlight, which can illuminate the board thanks to its white beam. When the hourglass runs out, players must stop searching, put down their flashlights, and set their marker to the number of hidden images they believe they have found. Then, they reveal the back of the hidden image card, which shows how many were actually possible to find. The more you found, the further your pawn advances on the track... but beware, the Moon pawn will also advance! If the Moon passes any player's pawn, you can spend an emergency coin to move it back in front of the Moon, but if you lack emergency coins, the game ends and you all lose! If all players cross the finish line without being caught by the Moon, you all win!
