The Sandbag board game by Bezier Games is a trick-avoidance game set at a hot-air balloon festival, where the goal is to rise higher than your opponents. Players try to get rid of as many sandbags as possible and win rocket cards, which are worth negative points.
In each of the three rounds, players place two face-up cards in their basket, and the color that appears most often among all the cards determines the trump suit. On each trick, they can play a card from their hand, a Sandbag card to avoid winning the trick, or one of an opponent’s face-up cards. As face-up cards are swapped for face-down sandbags, the trump suit can change. Each round also features five rocket cards, which players try to win while avoiding the remaining Sandbag cards.
