Divinum senna leaves are used to prepare an infusion and help relieve occasional constipation. Sennosides stimulate colon motility and increase the water content of stools, with effects usually occurring within 6–12 hours.
The infusion is taken in the evening. It is intended for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age and should not be used for more than one week. It is recommended to start with the lowest dose that produces a gentle effect. Before using laxatives, hydration, dietary fiber, and gentle exercise are recommended.
