This delicate oval icon of Saint Matrona the Blind is created according to the traditions of Orthodox iconography. Its lithograph reproduction is affixed to an artificial wood surface, whose top edge forms an arch, adding extra elegance to the overall appearance.
Saint Matrona was born in 1881 in Russia, blind from birth. From a young age, she had deep faith and was regular in church attendance. At the age of 17, she also lost the ability to walk but remained patient. Through her prayers, she helped visitors and performed miracles. She peacefully passed away in 1952. Her feast day is on May 2nd.
