Saint Procopius the Great Martyr lived in Jerusalem during the time of Diocletian. His father was Christian, while his mother was pagan. When she discovered his Christian faith, she reported him to the emperor. Procopius endured horrible tortures and was martyred in 303 AD. His feast day is celebrated on July 8th.
