This delicate oval icon depicting Saint Philaret, the protector of beekeeping, is created according to the traditions of Orthodox iconography. A lithographic reproduction of it is glued onto an artificial wood surface, with the top side having a curved shape, adding extra elegance to the overall appearance.
Saint Philaret served as an example of goodness and philanthropy. At some point, God allowed him to become very poor after losing all his possessions, leaving only the bees. However, divine providence elevated him to the rank of ruler. He is recognized as the protector of beekeeping, and his memory is celebrated every year on December 1st.
