THE ALLEY is an educational aid, the result of long-term clinical, research, and mainly educational collaboration between Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists and Adult Psychiatrists.

It serves as a guide for a more comprehensive and, as far as possible, reliable diagnostic assessment of adults who wish to be evaluated according to modern clinical assessment criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder, to determine if they fall among those referred to as "neurodiverse."

It consists of interviews with indicative specific questions for the individual and their companion, a list of impressions gathered by the interviewer, a self-completing symptom checklist, tools for listing gender characteristics, and documentation of indicative long-term effects from the core symptoms.

It is aimed at all mental health professionals with the goal of serving as an "alley" for the creation of valid and accessible assessment centers for adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
