The Gaerne SG 12 Forge motocross boots feature a Dual Stage Pivot system, with a rigid component for lateral support and a glide plate that keeps the upper stable. The second component allows natural foot movement and absorbs shocks when jumping or under unwanted compression. The inside features a rubber Grip Guard with a heat-resistant lining.

The thermoplastic shin plate is anatomically shaped, and its opening can be widened by removing three screws to accommodate a larger knee protector. The four lightweight buckles connect to an adjustable strap, while the elastic gaiter made from breathable Acronos fabric helps keep sand and debris out.

Inside, Gaerne Memory Cell Foam provides a comfortable feel and fit. The slimmer toe area improves feel on the gear shift lever, while a lighter plastic cover surrounds the area. A reinforced toe cap, a Gaerne Dual Composite sole made from shock-absorbing rubber, and a contoured footbed complete the construction. The footbed supports the foot, with shock-absorbing material in the heel and a design that allows ventilation at the front.
