Description

Description

Designed for extreme close-up imaging, the AstrHori 25mm f/2.8 2-5x Ultra Macro is a specialized lens for photographing subjects at magnifications greater than life-size.

It operates within a maximum magnification range of 2:1 to 5:1, with a minimum focusing distance of just 11.2 cm at 2:1 magnification and 18.5 cm at 5:1, providing a comfortable working distance of 3.8-4.6 cm.

The wide-angle focal length allows the lens to achieve greater depth of field compared to long focal length macro lenses. The optical design incorporates ultra-low dispersion and high-refractive elements to enhance color fidelity and image clarity.

The lens is designed for full-frame cameras and can also be used with APS-C models where it provides an equivalent focal length of 37.5 mm.

Minimum Aperture (f)

Opening the diaphragm determines the amount of light received by the camera and affects the depth of field.

2. The smallest diameter of the diaphragm is the minimum value. The more closed the diaphragm (larger f-number), the greater the depth of field.

The diameter that a filter must have to be applied on the lens without the use of an adapter.

Focal Length

It is the distance that the light rays need to travel to reach the focal point, that is, the lens sensor.
The smaller the focal distance, the larger the angle of view for the photograph and therefore the lens can capture more of what is in front of us.
