3.5 out of 5 but there's no option to give half a star. I finished "Unexpectedly Yours" by @tessabaileyisanauthor & @ekdoseisklidarithmos and I really liked it, so shall we talk about it?
The story follows a dynamic protagonist, Natalie. Natalie Vos, an unlucky heiress from Napa, needs a husband to claim her inheritance, while August Cates, a failed winemaker, needs money to save his vineyard. Although they can't stand each other, they agree to a marriage of convenience: a few weeks together and then separate lives. However, as they live under the same roof, the tension between them turns into an irresistible attraction, jeopardizing their plan.
I really liked the chemistry between them as well as the spicy scenes. The book flowed very quickly and was full of humor and a beautiful healthy relationship. If it weren't for the instalove and there was more time spent building their romance, it would be one of the best romcoms I've read. Nevertheless, I believe it's worth reading as I truly had a great time reading it. I can't wait for the author's next book!

Τελείωσα το «Αναπάντεχα Δική Σου» από @tessabaileyisanauthor & @ekdoseisklidarithmos και μου άρεσε πολύ οπότε έρχομαι να τα πούμε?
Η ιστορία ακολουθεί μια δυναμική πρωταγωνίστρια την Natalie. Η Natalie Vos, μια άτυχη κληρονόμος από τη Napa, χρειάζεται έναν σύζυγο για να αποκτήσει την περιουσία της, ενώ ο August Cates, ένας αποτυχημένος οινοποιός, χρειάζεται χρήματα για να σώσει τον αμπελώνα του. Αν και δεν αντέχουν ο ένας τον άλλο, συμφωνούν σε έναν γάμο συμφέροντος: λίγες εβδομάδες μαζί και μετά χωριστές ζωές. Όμως, όσο ζουν κάτω από την ίδια στέγη, η ένταση μεταξύ τους μετατρέπεται σε μια ακαταμάχητη έλξη, θέτοντας σε κίνδυνο το σχέδιό τους.
Μου άρεσε πολύ η χημεία μεταξύ τους καθώς και οι spicy σκηνές. Το βιβλίο κυλούσε πολύ γρήγορα και ήταν γεμάτο χιούμορ και μια όμορφη υγιή σχέση. Αν δεν ήταν αυτό το instalove και υπήρχε περισσότερος χρόνος στο χτίσιμο του έρωτα τους θα ήταν από τα καλύτερα romcom που έχω διαβάσει. Παρόλα αυτά, πιστεύω ότι αξίζει να διαβαστεί μιας και πραγματικά πέρασα υπέροχα διαβάζοντας το. Ανυπομονώ για το επόμενο βιβλίο της συγγραφέως ?

Unexpectedly Yours features the beloved trope of forced marriage and is definitely one of those light romantic reads you want to take with you to the beach.
The story follows Augustus, a man determined to make good wine from the vineyard left to him by his friend after his death — a project that serves as a tribute for him. On the other hand, Natalie is going through a very tough phase: she has lost her job, her fiancé, and in order to access her father's trust fund, she must get married. This is how the two of them make a marriage of convenience agreement.
The chemistry between them is intense and the dialogues are very funny — at some points, I was smiling to myself. I read it quickly and with pleasure. It’s not one of the deeper or more shocking romances I’ve read, but it’s exactly what it promises: feel-good, with a nice dose of humor and some warm scenes.
I’m taking away half a star because the ending felt a bit predictable to me and the first sentence left me puzzled — I’ll share it with you so you can judge for yourselves:
"Ever since Augustus Cage could remember, his bird had destroyed everything." ?
If you enjoy funny, romantic stories with a bit of spice and a happy ending, you’ll love it!

Το Αναπάντεχα δική σου έχει το αγαπημένο trope του forced marriage και είναι σίγουρα από εκείνα τα ανάλαφρα ρομαντικά αναγνώσματα που θες να πάρεις μαζί σου στην παραλία.
Η ιστορία ακολουθεί τον Αυγούστο, έναν άντρα αποφασισμένο να φτιάξει καλό κρασί από τον αμπελώνα που του άφησε ο φίλος του μετά τον θάνατό του — ένα project που λειτουργεί για εκείνον και ως φόρος τιμής. Από την άλλη, η Νάταλι βρίσκεται σε πολύ δύσκολη φάση: έχει χάσει τη δουλειά της, τον αρραβωνιαστικό της και για να μπορέσει να πάρει τα χρήματα από το καταπίστευμα του πατέρα της, πρέπει να παντρευτεί. Κάπως έτσι οι δυο τους κάνουν μια συμφωνία γάμου συμφέροντος.
Η χημεία ανάμεσά τους είναι έντονη και οι διάλογοι έχουν πολλή πλάκα — σε κάποια σημεία χαμογελούσα μόνη μου. Το διάβασα γρήγορα και με ευχαρίστηση. Δεν είναι από τα πιο βαθιά ή συγκλονιστικά ρομάντζα που έχω διαβάσει, αλλά είναι ακριβώς αυτό που υπόσχεται: feel-good, με ωραία δόση χιούμορ και μερικές ζεστές σκηνές.
Το αφαιρώ μισό αστέρι γιατί το τέλος μου φάνηκε λίγο αναμενόμενο και η πρώτη πρόταση με άφησε με απορία — σας την παραθέτω για να κρίνετε κι εσείς:
«Από τότε που ο Αυγούστος Κέιτζ θυμόταν τον εαυτό του, το πουλί του είχε καταστρέψει τα πάντα.» ?
