Description

Description

The first high-performance, highly customizable controller developed by Sony. Designed to give you an edge in gaming by allowing you to create custom controls, the DualSense Edge wireless controller invites you to create your own unique gaming experience tailored to your style.

The DualSense Edge controller features a range of customization options based on hardware and software for creating a completely personalized controller experience.

Highly customizable controllers

You can make the wireless DualSense Edge controller exclusively yours by mapping or disabling specific button inputs and fine-tuning your aim by adjusting stick sensitivity and dead zones (the distance your analog stick moves before being recognized in a game). Additionally, each trigger is adjustable with options to customize the distance and dead zones according to your preferences. For example, you can manually reduce the trigger travel distance for faster inputs in competitive FPS games or decrease the dead zone for precise throttle control in racing games.

Ability to store multiple profiles

Once you find the ideal settings, you can save them in unique profiles and switch between them immediately. With the DualSense Edge wireless controller, you will always have your preferred controls ready for your games, whether you are facing Norse gods and monsters in God of War Ragnarök or rival players in an online battle royale.

User interface on the controller

The Fn button allows you to easily adjust your setup while staying focused on the in-game action, quickly switch between preset profiles, adjust game volume and chat balance, and access the profile settings menu to set up and test new control settings while in the game.

Interchangeable Caps and Back Buttons

Three types of interchangeable stick covers (standard, tall dome, and low dome) help you stay comfortable in the game while maintaining grip and stability. The two interchangeable sets of back buttons (half dome and lever) can be configured to be any other button input, putting more meaningful controls in your hands.

Integrated Features of DualSense Wireless Controller

The wireless DualSense Edge controller retains the signature comfort and immersive experience of the DualSense when playing supported games, such as haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, built-in microphone, motion controls, and more.

So, I bought it purely for FIFA,
the good thing is that you can instantly change profiles from within the game and set the buttons below for extra tricks so you don't have to struggle with button combinations.
Don't think you'll see crazy differences compared to the regular DualSense, but when you hold it in your hand you can definitely feel you have the Edge.
Other than that, the quality is the same as the regular one and the only difference is the extra buttons and the change in the analog sticks and the front cover.
Visually, it's definitely more impressive, obviously.
I don't know if I helped, but I think that at €190, which is what I paid compared to big stores selling it for €229, it's something...
Still, though, I don't think it's worth buying at €190.
    I hope I helped...

    It is a premium controller.
Heavier than the regular DualSense and it offers you 2 extra buttons on the bottom with two types of paddles to choose which suits you, as well as 2 sets of joysticks in different lengths.
And settings for the sensitivity and dead zone of the sticks and the L2 and R2 triggers.
It has a long cable so you can play wired (eliminates the Bluetooth input lag which, unless you play professionally, is negligible).
The 3 stars are because the sticks are exactly the same as the regular DualSense, which means they are prone to drift,
but they are replaceable and supposedly you will find replacements for €20 normally, but if you find them available and at this price, good luck!
Also, you don't have the freedom to map the buttons as you wish but it replaces one of the already existing buttons, I think for its price you should have more freedom in button mapping.
I have no opinion on the battery because I use it wired.

If someone has the opportunity to get it, they should. It's worth it because from personal use I have changed 5 controllers due to drift on the stick. Now if it breaks I just remove and replace the analog. It's a bit heavier than the regular dualsense. The buttons on the back are a matter of habit. I mean in FPS games with a custom profile it's perfect. Also in quite a few games now where run is the circle (I don't know who thought of that) you can assign it to one of the back buttons and you don't need to be a Japanese pro player to press circle - left stick - right stick - square at the same time. The money is quite a lot but because I have been a victim of planned obsolescence by Sony, I consider it value for money.

After almost 2 years of use, the controller is very high quality and good compared to the simple controller for demanding gaming that you need extra buttons. It has been very convenient for me. The only drawback I would say is that the battery doesn't last long. But it gives you a quality 2m cable to continue gaming.

4 stars because immediately after I tried it, the left gumb started sometimes going up or down by itself on the buy station in Cod, like it's broken. Another issue is that the white area under the controller is made from another material, so it became like dirty and impossible to clean it after only 2 months. Alsooo, it's mission impossible to find the spare parts, stick module that is the main reason why I bought this controller, so even after 25 euros price for that stick module, you can't find it nowhere on Greece and not even in whole Europe (on PS website is UNAVAILABLE also!!!) Overall, it's a good controller, very heavy, but not sure if it's worth the money...

It's never worth the 230 euros! I've been playing Warzone for a year since I bought it, and it has started to have crazy stick drift, making it feel like a controller that's four years old or more... It's heavy, and the responsiveness of the other buttons (at least for this game) is extremely slow. Its battery performance has dropped a bit, but it's okay. I usually leave it charging in sleep mode overnight and unplug it in the morning, meaning I charge it when it shows one bar or shuts off, and it lasts for 3-4 hours of gameplay. Because it has all these extras, 100-120 euros would be a fair price, because I would rather spend an extra 50 euros to get a SCUF controller with back buttons than this. Also, if I have to change the sticks (the analogs, commonly) every year and want another 30 euros or however much they cost, we're done for... I don't particularly recommend it.

    That's it!

Very good solution for someone who plays FPS games and for anyone who doesn't want analog triggers R2-L2. Sturdy, a bit heavier than normal. In my hand, which is large glove size, it sits well. The battery without vibration etc lasts comfortably 4 hours.

One reason I bought this particular controller was the fact that SONY advertises that you can change the sticks in case of stick drift so you can keep playing and not spend €60 every time for a new controller.

Now that I have stick drift on the left stick, I go to search and there is nowhere to be found the replacement module! All the retailers have it "out of stock", in some, while the page appears on Google as a result, when you click it, it takes you to "404 not found", resulting in me having spent €200 for nothing. What am I supposed to do with the back buttons now that I have stick drift and no replacement? And we are 1 year after its release, so what will happen in 2-3 years from now??

Heavy and sturdy, and I thought you buy it once and for all!!!
After a year of daily use, the right rear button that you press with your middle finger has stopped working and doesn't make a sound.
What a shame for a paid lever of €250

By far the best, no comparison with regular controllers, no comparison with anything on the market, very smooth. Anyone who knows gaming knows that wired controllers are the way to go, especially for competitive games, so I don't even care that the battery only lasts 4 hours... I got it for Warzone and I have to say that with the right sensitivity settings, I started getting 17-25 kills in games too.

Having spent the necessary cost to purchase two Scuf controllers, I must say that this controller is ideal and worth every penny. The only issue for me is configuring the joystick settings correctly to get the ultimate experience, but even still, this controller is truly amazing. The only downside is that it doesn't have four buttons on the back, only two.

This review is about the colour: White

    That's it!

Ideal for gamers, very good build quality and generally something I would buy again. Quite pricey compared to what it offers, but if you like technology, it's worth it.

The best controller I've ever had, of course the price bites and they could make the internal Stick Modules more durable.

The controller is fine, I just think it could play at around 150-70 euros. However, it doesn't have drifting and the option to change analog is the best feature. It could also have more analog options for that price

Tragic battery. At least for the money, it should have lasted 8-12 hours, not to mention the competition.

Good in quality, a bit heavy compared to the factory one, 4-hour battery life in gaming, generally not worth the 230... maybe a Scuff would have been better.

No relation to the ordinary. It's much heavier and combined with extra scandals, it becomes the ultimate controller for endless hours of gaming. It costs a lot, but it gives you a lot if you're a fan!

  • So, I bought it purely for FIFA,
the good thing is that you can instantly change profiles from within the game and set the buttons below for extra tricks so you don't have to struggle with button combinations.

  • for specific users it's not worth it so much up to 120€, more than that no, 4 stars because the battery drains quickly, I got it for the extra buttons because I play Warzone

    Translated from Greek ·

  • It is a premium controller.
