The Schneider Maxx 290 marker writes on whiteboards and flipchart paper. It has a round tip with a 2–3 mm line width. The red ink dries quickly and wipes easily off whiteboards without leaving residue, while it does not bleed through flipchart paper.

Cap-Off technology allows it to remain uncapped for 2–3 days without drying out. It has a large ink reservoir and can be refilled with the Schneider Maxx 665 Refill Station. Its barrel is made from 95% recycled plastic. The ink is low-odour and contains no toluene or xylene.
